Tips to help your pup have a good experience at the groomers!
Take a deep breathe!
Dogs reflect our energy. The biggest impact you can have on your dogs experience is by taking a deep breathe and presenting confidence and calm!
Leave promptly
Drop off really is the hardest part. Our pups are very good at guilt tripping but as soon as that door closes the shaking stops and they melt right into the routine. A prolonged or dramatic goodbye often sets your pet up to be nervous. "Mom is acting funny. Something bad is going to happen"
Potty Break
Give your pet a moment to relieve themselves before and after their appointment
Parasites
We do not offer Flea + tick treatments or de-licing treatments. If Parasites are found on your pet during their appointment the appointment will be immediately terminated and you will be charged for what was done up to that point plus a $20 sanitization fee.
If your pet is infested we recommend contacting a vet for further instruction
Lice
Lice is specie specific. Dog lice stay on dogs. Human lice stay on humans. Lice requires a minimum of 2 weeks of treatments.
Bathe your pet in a pesticide shampoo you can find online, at your vet, or at your local pet store. This will kill off all adult Lice. There are still eggs on your pet that will hatch.
Repeat once a week for 2-3 weeks to continuously kill off Adults as they hatch and mature
Repeatedly wash all bedding, carpets, and furniture your pet is allowed on or near during treatment
Fleas
Fleas will jump from specie to specie. treat all pets in your home or that your dog came into contact with

De-skunking
DO NOT GET YOUR PET WET!!!!!
If your pet gets skunked the first rule is to not get them wet! The water will solidify the smell. Keep your pet outside as much as possible.
Follow this recipe and put it on a DRY coat. Massage deep into the coat and skin.
Let it sit between 5-10 minutes then rinse with warm water.
1 quart (about 1 liter) of 3% hydrogen peroxide
¼ cup of baking soda
1-2 teaspoons of liquid dish soap (such as Dawn)
Shampoo again with your usual pet shampoo. Preferably something with a nice strong scent. This is mostly to help cure your nose blindness. The scent lingers in our nose longer than we realize. Have someone else sniff test your pet who hasn't been around then during the ordeal.
